Individual Yoga                                                                                                                                                                         A holistic approach to empower individuals to achieve health and well-being.  First session (90 minutes) includes consultation and physical assessment.  A personalized yoga practice plan is provided to meet needs and goals.  The individual will be carefully guided and instructed in proper alignment in basic asanas (yoga postures).   Various techniques may be used, including: breathing/pranayama exercises, guided imagery/relaxation, physical postures and movement, chakra/energy balancing, and ayurvedic practices. 

Svaroopa Yoga                                                                                                                                                                                         Sarah teaches Svaroopa® Yoga - a style that is gentle, profound, meditative, and restorative. Svaroopa® is a type of Hatha Yoga, appropriate for all levels. Class size is small, allowing for individual attention. Students are propped with comfortable blankets to meet bodily tension, where muscles soften and consequently, release - rather than being strained in such a way that results in forcing and injury. Poses are held for an extended period of time, targeting the deep muscles connected to the spine. Classes begin and end with guided relaxation and include yogic breathing as well. The results are relief from aches and pains, including neck/shoulder and back pain, and a calmer state of mind, oftentimes dramatic in both cases.
